The Turkish word "Kilim" is a broad term used to describe flat woven rugs made in an area spanning from North Africa to India. Although sharing much of their cultural heritage with
hand-knotted oriental rugs, the weaving technique and lack of a pile makes kilims very similar to tapestry. Like
